Welcome to the home of Maggie Duffy

Singer/songwriter/poet from the West Country.

My musical  life is quite varied in my capacity as a folkie

I gig with various others including  Bob Thomson and Tiggy Kazza both established musicians .

Bob and I do a huge variety of styles , Tiggy and I slightly more traditional in our approach.

Living in the West Country with its rich tapestry of Folk Lore and Legends and also being  close to  the sea gives me much inspiration and makes my songwriting very pleasurable.

Some of my songs have gained National recognition which is nice.

I have supported some very credible names in the Folk Music industry.

Fairport Convention,Phil Beer, Aly Bain and Phil Cunningham, Phillip Henry and Hannah Martin,Blazin Fiddles, The Albion Band ,Bob Fox, Jim Causley to name but a few.

My concerts  that I run throughout the year feature some great artistes.

2016,   Phil Beer / Steve Knightley/ Ange Hardy

Jim Causley/ Ninebarrow/ Chris Millington/

I also am a Speaker for Ladies or Gents Social Groups who require entertainment .

I have several programmes so do please enquire.

Lastly but not least I Mike Weed and I gigged together for 15 years and you will see reference to him on these pages .

However in October 2016 we have decided that we each need  explore other musical avenues thus ending this highly sucessful partnership on a high note.

All good wishes to Mike for the future .
